Asakusa is home to Tokyo oldest temple. It is a major tourist destination and at the center of many festive events throughout the year. This program presents performances that can usually only be seen during festivals or Buddhist rituals. This special performance at the National Theatre is a rare opportunity to see traditional culture and performances from both Asakusa Shrine and Senso-ji Temple.
