Eat at traditional restaurants, ramen shops, “izakaya” pubs, “kissaten” cafés, or specialty shops for sushi, tempura, or soba noodles. You can easily try something different at every meal. Taito is very conveniently located for travel to and from Tokyo. There are direct trains to Narita airport leaving from Ueno, Asakusa, and Nippori near Yanaka. Asakusa also has a direct train to Haneda airport. Nippori and Ueno are stations on the JR Yamanote line with easy transfer to Shinkansen trains and the Tokyo Monorail serving Haneda. If you want to explore Tokyo you are close to Akihabara, Ginza, Tokyo Skytree, and the Kokugikan Sumo Hall in Ryogoku. You can also take a side trip to Yokohama, Kamakura, or Nikko from Taito. Taito is a convenient travel base for exploring Tokyo and Japan.
