Shinobazu Pond

Shinobazu Pond is a natural pond in Ueno Park dating back to the Muromachi period (1333-1573). Mallards, Northern Pintails, and other ducks and migratory birds come here, making this a place where you can enjoy birdwatching in the middle of the city. Many visitors also come to the pond to see the cherry blossoms in the spring and the lotus flowers in the summer.
