The Takara-no-mai dance has been performed since 1972. The children of Senso-ji Kindergarten pull the “takarabune” treasure ship of the Seven Lucky Gods. They are called “treasure children” and wear costumes of the fishermen Hinokuma Hamanari and Takenari (according to legend, the fishermen found the statue of Bodhisattva Kannon that is the principle image of Senso-ji Temple).
